About the camp
Are you ready for the adventure of a lifetime? Join us at AJ25, the ultimate camp located just outside Glasgow, Scotland. Packed with an incredible array of thrilling activities, this camp guarantees an adrenaline-fueled experience like no other. Take on the challenge of abseiling down our spectacular 60ft tower, where both daredevils and novices can conquer their fears. Sharpen your shooting skills with air rifle shooting in our purpose-built range, or try your hand at archery and aim for gold in our target range.
For an authentic experience, test your precision with axe throwing within our medieval fort. Feel the rush as you navigate the waters during our exciting canoeing adventures in tandem canoes. Work together with your team to build a towering stack of crates in the crate stack challenge. Young climbers can conquer our 4.5m indoor wall, while seasoned climbers can ascend the 60ft climbing tower with various graded routes and real rock features.
Prepare to get wet in our closed cockpit kayaks and experience the thrill of laser tag with tactical games in our outdoor arena. For those who love biking, explore Auchengillan from two wheels, mastering a mix of tracks and natural trails. Improve your navigation and map skills through orienteering, great for honing decision-making and judgment.
AJ25 offers even more heart-pounding activities, such as the adrenaline-pumping paradrop from the top of the tower, test yourself on the rapids of the nearby Pinkston Watersports Centre or the challenge of pole climbing. Work together with your team to build a raft and paddle around the island, or tap into your inner survivalist by learning essential skills like building shelters and lighting fires.
When you’re not enjoying the thrilling activities, you can take trips to explore the vibrant city of Glasgow or partake in water activities on the beautiful Loch Lomond. Excitement continues at camp with the Slip and Slide making a splash and plenty of new activities to try out. Our shop remains open all day, and the café serves a mouthwatering array of treats, from fries and nachos to burgers, pizzas, cakes, coffee, and more.
But that’s not all – we’re proud to offer the icing on the cake, our heated swimming pool! Dive into the crystal-clear waters and bask in the warmth as you enjoy a refreshing swim or simply relax by the poolside with new friends. Come night time, get ready for the ever popular pool party.

The team also organise the ever popular Subzero winter camp, they will ensure seamless execution, innovative ideas, and a successful, unforgettable occasion for all participants.
This marks the 6th Jamboree hosted at Auchengillan, with the inaugural event dating back to 1999. Traditionally, we aim to hold this spectacular gathering every four years. However, the unforeseen circumstances of the pandemic compelled us to postpone AJ21. Consequently, we anticipate a surge in interest for the upcoming Jamboree due to the incredible success of AJ17.
At the heart of our team’s ethos lies the unwavering commitment to putting the young people first. We constantly strive to incorporate the newest, most exhilarating, and high-octane activities into our event, ensuring an unforgettable experience for all attendees. Simultaneously, we deeply value the well-being of our dedicated Leaders and Staff. Therefore, we provide them with a welcoming space to grab a bite, enjoy a coffee, or unwind at the bar during the evenings. Additionally, we curate a specially tailored program for Staff, offering them the opportunity to engage and participate in the camp’s activities. We extend a warm invitation to Leaders to actively contribute to the camp’s organization and implementation, while their young people revel in the excitement. This inclusive approach fosters new connections, enables everyone to try something new, and ensures a sense of camaraderie throughout the event.
