100 Years of Impact
Since 1926, Auchengillan Outdoor Centre has welcomed over 250,000 young people to explore, challenge themselves, and experience the joy of the outdoors. For generations of Scouts, schools, and youth groups, Auchengillan has been a place to build confidence, forge friendships, and create memories that last a lifetime.
From its humble beginnings to its current role as a leading outdoor activity centre, Auchengillan has remained true to one mission: to help young people grow through adventure.
Now, as we enter our centenary year, we’re looking back with pride and forward with purpose.
Looking to the Next 100 Years
We believe every young person deserves the chance to experience the outdoors, to learn new skills, take healthy risks in a safe environment, and discover what they’re capable of.
As we mark our centenary we are investing in the future of the centre:
- Expanding our capacity to reach more young people
- Improving accessibility so everyone can take part
- Upgrading facilities to support new generations of adventurers
- Embedding sustainability for the next 100 years

Upcoming Events
Throughout 2025 and 2026, we will be celebrating Auchengillan 100 with a series of special events, the first of which is the launch of our centenary celebrations as we officially cut the ribbon on our amazing brand-new high ropes course.
